1. How can I set up a PPS Account?

You can simply set up a PPS Account using your ATM card or any credit card with ATM function at any PPS Registration Terminal. For PPS terminal locations, please visit www.ppshk.com

2. Do I have to pay in order to use the PPS service?

No, the service is absolutely FREE

3. Can I use PPS outside Hong Kong?

As long as you can get access to IDD or the Internet, you can access PPS by phone or the Internet anywhere using your PPS account number and password.

4. How can I register GCap as my PPS merchant via phone?

You can simply follow the steps below:

  1. Dial 18011
  2. Key in "1" for bill registration
  3. Key in your 8-digit PPS Account Number
  4. Key in the 4-digit Merchant Code 9253 for GuocoCapital Limited
  5. Key in your 7-digit GCap Account Number

5. How can I register GCap as my PPS merchant on Internet?

You can simply follow the steps below:

  1. Visit PPS website at www.ppshk.com
  2. Press the "Logon" button
  3. Enter your 8-digit PPS Account Number and PPS Internet Password. Click "Go"
  4. Click on the "Register Bill" button to start
  5. Select GCap from the Merchant List
  6. Enter your 7-digit Bill Number (GCap Account Number). Click "Submit"

6. How can I deposit fund via PPS by Phone?

You can simply follow the steps below:

  1. Dial 18031
  2. Key in your 5-digit PPS phone password
  3. Key in the 4-digit Merchant Code 9253 for GuocoCapital Limited
  4. Key in your 7-digit GCap Account Number
  5. Select the account type
     -Press 1 for custodian account
     -Press 2 for margin account
  6. Key in the fund deposit amount
  7. Press 1 to confirm your payment and record down the Payment Reference Number

7. How can I deposit fund via PPS by Internet?

You can simply follow the steps below:

  1. Visit PPS website at www.ppshk.com
  2. Press the "Logon" button
  3. Enter your 8-digit PPS Account Number and PPS Internet Password. Click "Go"
  4. Click the "Pay Bill" button of your selected Bill
  5. Select the Bill Type, enter the Payment Amount and your PPS Internet Password. Then click "submit" to confirm the payment.
  6. Record down the Payment Reference Number by referring to the Payment Confirmation page

8. Can the same Account Number be registered by more than one PPS account?

No, each GCap account can only be registered once. Duplicate registration is not allowed.

9. How much can I pay via the PPS service?

There is a minimum deposit limit of HK$1,000 per each transaction and whereas maximum daily deposit limit is determined by individual banks.

10. How do I know that I have successfully deposited fund to my GCap account?

You will receive a 6-digit Payment Reference Number after every successful transaction.

11. When can I use the PPS service?

The service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Cut-off time is 7:00pm from Monday to Friday except non-trading days. Transaction made beyond the cut-off time will be processed on the next trading day.

12. Can I use the deposited fund immediately right after I made the bill payment using the PPS service?

Payment made on or before 7:00pm from Monday to Friday. Payment will be available in your GCap account on the next trading day (i.e., T+1 days)
Payment made after 7:00pm from Monday to Friday and non-trading days. Payment will be available in your GCap account on the day after next trading day (i.e., T+2 days)

13. Can I cancel a PPS payment / fund deposited transaction?

No, once you have confirmed your transaction, the amount will be deducted from your bank account and it cannot be cancelled.
